Equal treatment of candidates

Candidates are presented using the same core public profile structure and
policy framework. Payment does not determine where a candidate appears,
whether a candidate is promoted, how prominently a candidate is displayed,
or how MyVote presents independently sourced information.

A payment to MyVote is not an endorsement and does not purchase political advantage.

Candidate profile and verification fees

Operating a national civic-information platform requires technology,
hosting, security, verification, moderation, research, support, and
administrative resources. MyVote may therefore charge a modest
administrative fee in the future for certain candidate profile,
verification, profile-management, or related platform services.

Any applicable fee is intended to help meet the cost of operating the
platform. It does not buy promotion, favorable coverage,
higher ranking, preferred search placement, favorable comparison treatment,
or different editorial standards.

Fee waivers

A candidate who cannot afford an applicable administrative fee may request
a waiver. Waiver requests will be considered individually and case by case.

Political party, ideology, popularity, incumbency, policy positions,
personal relationships, or agreement with MyVote must never determine
whether a waiver is approved.

No pay-to-rank and no pay-to-win

Candidate profiles, policy declarations, public records, comparison tools,
and voter-facing information must not be reordered or made more favorable
because a candidate paid MyVote.

If MyVote later offers advertising, sponsored messages, or other
promotional campaign services, those products will be clearly identified
as paid promotion and kept separate from ordinary candidate profiles and
civic-information content.

Candidate-submitted information

Information supplied directly by a candidate or an authorized campaign team
will be identified as candidate-submitted information. Official records,
independent research, and candidate claims should remain distinguishable so
voters can understand where information comes from.

official records. Candidates provide their positions. Evidence provides context.
